Joshua Is Reading

I walked into the living room the other day and Joshua was reading his school book to his sister. I thought it was so cute so I went to get my camera. By the time I got back, James had started listening to the story too. It's moments like these when you think "They might actually love each other:)".

Joshua Got Saved!!!

During the first night of our revival services (Jan 20, 2008), Joshua went forward at invitation to pray with Dan. Dan asked him what he wanted to pray for and Josh said he wanted to pray for his friend Allison to get saved. Dan decided he would go over the plan of salvation with Josh again. When he finished, he asked Josh if he wanted to trust Jesus as his Saviour. In case you didn't read the title of this post:) he did. When Josh and Dan came back to the pew, I asked Josh what he prayed about. He said "I asked Jesus to be my Saviour." Words cannot describe how I felt when he told me. Those of you who have children that have been saved will understand. Hopefully, I will have pictures of his baptism posted soon. I have to get some pics from my mom, since our camera died right before pastor baptized him...of course.

I LOVE MY HUSBAND!!!

Yesterday, Dan and I celebrated eight years of marriage. He had the whole evening planned out. When he arrived home from work, we loaded up the kids and took them to the Farnsworths' house to spend the night. Then, after shedding some tears about leaving the children-lol, we headed out to eat. Dan had made reservations at Clinkerdaggers. It was our first time there and we thoroughly enjoyed it! After dinner, we picked up a movie and headed home. When we got home, I noticed a light on downstairs and asked Dan if he turned the light off before we left. He said he thought that he had. When we walked inside, there were about a hundred tea light candles lit all over the house.......................That was a dramatic pause so everyone can say aaahh:)
Right before we started the movie, he brought in a couple bottles of Martinelli's( we're big drinkers). It was the perfect evening and the best part was that we were ALONE. I told Dan, "You know, I would have been happy just getting Papa Johns and spending the evening alone with you". He said, "We'll save that one for Valentine's Day!" I know...I'm spoiled. Have I mentioned that I love
my husband.

It's A Boy...AGAIN!

We had our ultrasound on New Years Eve and found out we are having another boy. When we came home and told Joshua and Kayla they were going to have another brother they were very confused. It didn't make any sense that we were having a boy because we already have three boys in the family so we needed a girl to make things even. We explained to them that that's not always how God works and now (with some parental coaching) they are very excited about having another brother. I have to admit I was secretly praying for another girl, but apparently I have some hidden sins that are yet to be confessed:) Some day when I am sharing the bathroom with my only teenage daughter I am sure I will be grateful (Sorry Jackie). Honestly though, I am really excited about having three boys. We have already decided on a name- Jude Stephen Kobernat. Jude, like the Bible Jude not from the song "Hey Jude". Though I have heard fragments of the song over 50 times in the last 10 days, if you simply cannot refrain from singing me the song on mention of his name I promise I will not disown you as my friend. However, I may delete your blog address from my site:). Oh, in case you are still trying to figure out what the fourth picture in my background is-Those are Judes' little feet.
