Maybe he's born with it...Maybe it's Mabeline!

I was making lunch for the kids last week while they were quietly playing together in their room.(Or so I thought) Then, I heard the infamous words, "James, go see mama!" This phrase at our house never means anything good. When I first saw him I thought he was covered in marker. It was when I started to clean him up that I realized he had been having an extreme makeover in the bathroom- while Josh and Kayla were quietly playing in their room. The good news- I don't wear waterproof mascera!

Spring Break???

Spring break has come and gone. I thought that this picture of James summed up our week more than words could.
I know I am a little late getting these pictures posted, but hey, Easter was in MARCH! The kids colored their eggs the Saturday before Easter. Sunday, after church, we all went to my moms house for lunch. The kids had an egg hunt inside this year, since it was cold and rainy out. Did I mention that Easter was in March:) James found his first egg, plopped down and ate the candy out of it for the rest of the hunt. Officially he only found one egg, but he did manage to steal some eggs out of Josh and Kaylas baskets while they weren't looking! Just for the record- Our kids do know the real meaning of Easter. So if you are not completely offended by our Easter activities...enjoy the pics!

Joshua Is Reading

I walked into the living room the other day and Joshua was reading his school book to his sister. I thought it was so cute so I went to get my camera. By the time I got back, James had started listening to the story too. It's moments like these when you think "They might actually love each other:)".

Joshua Got Saved!!!

During the first night of our revival services (Jan 20, 2008), Joshua went forward at invitation to pray with Dan. Dan asked him what he wanted to pray for and Josh said he wanted to pray for his friend Allison to get saved. Dan decided he would go over the plan of salvation with Josh again. When he finished, he asked Josh if he wanted to trust Jesus as his Saviour. In case you didn't read the title of this post:) he did. When Josh and Dan came back to the pew, I asked Josh what he prayed about. He said "I asked Jesus to be my Saviour." Words cannot describe how I felt when he told me. Those of you who have children that have been saved will understand. Hopefully, I will have pictures of his baptism posted soon. I have to get some pics from my mom, since our camera died right before pastor baptized him...of course.

I LOVE MY HUSBAND!!!

Yesterday, Dan and I celebrated eight years of marriage. He had the whole evening planned out. When he arrived home from work, we loaded up the kids and took them to the Farnsworths' house to spend the night. Then, after shedding some tears about leaving the children-lol, we headed out to eat. Dan had made reservations at Clinkerdaggers. It was our first time there and we thoroughly enjoyed it! After dinner, we picked up a movie and headed home. When we got home, I noticed a light on downstairs and asked Dan if he turned the light off before we left. He said he thought that he had. When we walked inside, there were about a hundred tea light candles lit all over the house.......................That was a dramatic pause so everyone can say aaahh:)
Right before we started the movie, he brought in a couple bottles of Martinelli's( we're big drinkers). It was the perfect evening and the best part was that we were ALONE. I told Dan, "You know, I would have been happy just getting Papa Johns and spending the evening alone with you". He said, "We'll save that one for Valentine's Day!" I know...I'm spoiled. Have I mentioned that I love
my husband.
